China Puts Down Protests For Democracy (Tiananmen Square Massacre)
On June 4, 1989 the Tiananmen Square Massacre broke out in China. This massacre was brought upon from a group of students demanding for their rights and needs of a democracy and was filled with fighting and disagreements over a 2 month span. But on June 4, 1989 the students and other protesters swarmed the city streets of Beijing and created a blockade against the incoming troops. With the idea of little to no causalities the massacre resulted in 241 dead and 7,000 wounded. This protest for democracy in China is still occurring today.
